Avanti can run without a license key when the selected configuration requires zero license units. Configurations that require additional units use an Avanti license key stored in the Windows registry. Only one Avanti license key is permitted per host system.

A license key may contain any number of units. Existing Version 4 registry keys remain usable subject to their unit, expiration, and update-eligibility limits. See the Avanti SPD for more information.
