With the exact curated OpenVMS V7.0 system tested on Avanti's AlphaServer 400 model, a normal OPA0 login is not presented immediately after installation. Historical service reports describe the same behavior on a physical AlphaServer 400, but the current 5.1.0 validation did not independently test physical hardware. The curated-system result does not qualify every OpenVMS V7.0 kit, patch level, or controller.

If the required OpenVMS licenses were registered during installation, the tested system permits a SYSTEM login through TTA0. The login banner should identify OpenVMS V7.0 and the expected node.

Otherwise, use OpenVMS V7.0 Conversational Boot to reach privileged DCL and install the licenses. Restore SYS$SYSTEM:STARTUP.COM as the startup procedure before returning the system to normal use.
